Consultations
Constitutional Consultations:
Most chronic conditions can be helped homeopathically with great success. Because most chronic conditions are either a result of heredity or many years of development, constitutional consultations are thorough and comprehensive. The length of the consultation is approximately two hours and includes your remedy and three months of follow up. During your consultation we will look at the overall state of your health, including physical symptoms, how you express your health and illness, how you respond to the environment, your mental and emotional symptoms and how you experience life, all of which are very important from a homeopathic perspective. All information discussed during your consultation is strictly confidential and is important to the correct selection of your homeopathic remedy.
Acute Consultations:
Acute illness is defined as an illness that is not deep-seeded and, in most cases, will clear itself within a short period of time. Examples of acute illness include colds, coughs, ear infections, headaches, bladder infections, chicken pox and so on, all of which can be alleviated homeopathically. More serious acute illnesses, such as meningitis, can be helped by homeopathy but should also be overseen by a licensed physician. Acute consultations are approximately 1 hour in length and include the appropriate remedy. If you are already being seen by a Certified Homeopath for a chronic condition it is important to report which constitutional remedy(s) you have taken or are currently taking.
Phone Consultations:
In most cases, consultations can be done by phone. This allows me to consult with people all over the country and in cases where location and/or travel prevent an in-person meeting a phone consultation is just as effective. Many clients appreciate the option of a phone consultation as there is no need to drive (especially in the winter), it saves them time, is just as effective and gives an increased feeling of privacy. Simply select a convenient time, make your appointment and call from the comfort of your home, office or travel location.
Follow up Appointments:
Especially in constitutional care for chronic conditions follow up appointments and phone conversations are a very important part of homeopathy. Since many conditions have developed over many years they may take some time o reverse. Follow up appointments allow me to keep us on course and to be sure the remedies are working to their highest potential, giving you the most benefit. Follow up appointments are generally set up for 4 - 6 weeks after the initial consultation, with phone updates throughout that time. During your care you are encouraged to call me with any questions, concerns or updates on your health.
